Dear Me

Oh My Heart

Blankity Blank

After I turned 65, my brain started to blank. Lately it’s been blanking more. That is to say, I no longer have instant recall and this disturbs and freighters me.

My husband notices my brain hiccups and the long pauses as I try to remember a common noun, and I think he, too, might be a little disturbed by my poor recollection. I think women suffer more from dementia than men but I am so afraid of this that I don’t want to research it.

And I don’t want to write about it anymore. That is all.
